Impact and Results
236 Panels
Annual Savings: £12,513
Lifetime Savings: £453,080
CO2 Offset (Lifetime): 400,000 kg
The Challenge
Breheny Civil Engineering, one of the UK’s leading privately-owned civil engineering firms, wanted to take practical steps to reduce its energy costs and environmental footprint at its Suffolk facility. With energy prices rising and sustainability increasingly important to their operations, solar was identified as a way to support both financial and environmental goals.
The Solution
Sunlite worked with Breheny to design and install a commercial solar PV system optimised for their site and energy usage. The system includes:
-
236 solar panels, delivering a total capacity of 95.58 kWp
-
A full turnkey solution, from system design and installation through to connection and commissioning
The Results
The installation is projected to deliver:
-
£12,513 in annual energy savings, helping to offset rising grid electricity costs
-
£453,080 lifetime savings, improving the long-term financial performance of the site
-
A lifetime CO₂ offset of around 400,000 kg, reducing the site’s carbon footprint in line with Breheny’s sustainability commitments
The Impact
By investing in solar, Breheny has taken a significant step towards reducing the environmental impact of its operations. The system generates a substantial portion of the site’s daytime electricity needs, reducing reliance on grid energy and contributing to lower operational emissions.
